About the SCCCMH Newsletter & How to Submit an Article

The SCCCMH newsletter is printed twice a year, in the spring and fall. It is mailed to members. The newsletter can also be accessed here in its electronic version any time for your convenience.

The SCCCMH welcomes articles submitted by anyone in the community who wishes to share personal experiences as a consumer, friend, family member or professional in the mental health community, or any thoughts or opinions on a mental health topic that needs greater advocacy, or to pose a question about an issue.

The submission deadline for the spring issue are March 15th so the newsletter can go “live” and be printed and mailed to our members by the first week in April. Articles for the fall edition must be submitted by September 30th so the newsletter can be distributed by mid-October.

Submissions can be e-mailed to the attention of the Newsletter Committee by sending to info@scccmh-saratoga.org or by mailing to SCCCMH, PO Box 820, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866. When submitting an article via e-mail, a Microsoft Word document as an attachment is requested. However, the article can be typed into the body of the e-mail. When mailing a submission, neat printing or typing is preferred.

The SCCCMH Board of Trustees reserves the right to decide the content of the newsletter, and also reserves the right to review, revise, shorten or deny articles for publication. Articles submitted for publication should not be longer than 250 words unless the author is specifically invited to do so by the Newsletter Committee Chairperson.
